Who The Hell Are “The Rainmakers”?

When I sold my coaching company in 2022, I thought I’d finally have the time to focus on what truly mattered: my family…

For 11 years, my wife Lauren and I had been raising our four daughters, and somewhere along the way, our marriage had become an afterthought—a neglected garden in desperate need of tending. I was determined to change that.

But as any entrepreneur knows, sitting still isn’t exactly in our DNA. One afternoon, while attempting to assemble a trampoline (a task that should require a degree in engineering), my phone buzzed with a message from an old acquaintance—a coach struggling to keep his business afloat. He’d heard about my success and wanted advice.

So there I was, covered in sweat and defeat from the trampoline fiasco, offering business counsel over the phone. As I paced around the yard, dodging rogue springs and under the watchful eyes of my amused daughters, I realized how much I enjoyed solving these problems. Lauren noticed it too.

“You’re in your element,” she said later that evening as we finally sat down together, the kids tucked in bed. “Maybe this is what you should be doing.”

I hesitated. “I don’t know. I promised I’d be more present—focus on us, on the family.”

She smiled. “Helping others doesn’t take away from that. Besides, you light up when you talk about this stuff.”

I then found myself reflecting on a troubling shift in the coaching industry.

Coaches, once the torchbearers of transformation and empowerment, were drowning in a sea of misinformation and disillusionment. Social media was saturated with so-called gurus peddling magic pills and quick fixes. The essence of coaching—a genuine connection that fosters growth—was getting lost.

I knew I couldn’t sit on the sidelines. But I didn’t want to dive back into the same old game either. I wanted to create something that would truly make a difference, not just pad my resume or bank account. I spent a year clocking over 220 hours consulting six-, seven-, and eight-figure business owners and coaches.

If I wanted to be one of the world’s best, I needed to put in the reps. And put them in I did—all while making sure to be home for dinner, bedtime stories, and those late-night chats with Lauren that we’d neglected for too long.

I kept meticulous notes from every call, searching for patterns, honing my skills, and developing new ones.

Charging up to $25,000 a month, I stepped into the role of Chief Revenue Officer for these businesses. I dove into marketing, sales, delivery, operations, finances—you name it.

Turns out, all the blood, sweat, and sleepless nights I’d poured into building and selling a multi-seven-figure business had given me a treasure trove of knowledge. Who knew?

But this time, I was determined to do it differently. I didn’t want to dive back into a venture that consumed me entirely, leaving my family with the leftovers. I wanted to build something that allowed me to be a present father and husband while making a real impact.

And so, The Rainmakers was born—a partnership-driven company designed to empower coaches with a system that actually works. Not just another course or one-size-fits-all solution, but a comprehensive approach to transform their businesses.

Why I Started The Rainmakers

I started The Rainmakers because I saw an urgent need to restore integrity and effectiveness to the coaching industry. Too many remarkable coaches were overworked, underpaid, and disheartened. They were caught in the hamster wheel of trying to attract clients while juggling the demands of their existing ones.

Many had been burned by agencies and “expert” business coaches who overpromised and underdelivered.

I didn’t want to offer just another service; I wanted to build partnerships. I believe that by collaborating closely with coaches, we could create a system that boosts their businesses and gives them their lives back. As a father of four daughters and a husband striving to prioritize my marriage after years of neglect, I understood the value of time and the importance of focusing on what truly matters.

The Rainmakers isn’t just a marketing and sales firm; it’s an extension of this philosophy. We’re proving that you don’t have to sacrifice your personal life for professional success. You can excel in all areas that matter.

At The Rainmakers, we build, install, and run the end-to-end marketing and sales systems for our partners. Here’s how we do it:

  1. Customized Marketing Strategies: We develop tailored marketing campaigns that resonate with your target audience. No generic templates or one-size-fits-all solutions—everything is designed to reflect your unique voice and vision.
  2. Lead Generation and Nurturing: Our team sets up funnels and automated systems that attract high-quality leads and nurtures them through the buyer’s journey.
  3. Expert Sales Team: We have a dedicated sales force trained to close deals on your behalf. They understand the nuances of the coaching industry and handle client interactions with professionalism and care.
  4. Ongoing Support and Optimization: We don’t just set it and forget it. Our team continually monitors performance, makes data-driven adjustments, and ensures the system scales with your business.
  5. Holistic Approach: We address every facet of the client acquisition process, relieving you of the technical headaches and time-consuming tasks that distract from your core mission.

As The Rainmakers grew, so did the success stories. Coaches were not only increasing their revenues but reclaiming their time and passion. They were getting back to what they loved—making a difference in people’s lives.

The proof, as they say, is in the pudding—or in this case, the thriving businesses of our partners. Theres four main reasons why coaches join us:

  • Significant Revenue Growth: On average, our partners experience a 200% increase in revenue within the first six months. Some have seen even more dramatic results, scaling from modest five-figure months to consistent six-figure revenues.
  • Increased Client Retention: By refining the client experience and implementing effective follow-up strategies, we’ve helped partners improve their retention rates by up to 50%.
  • Time Freedom: Perhaps the most rewarding outcome is the gift of time. With the heavy lifting handled, our partners reclaim hours each week. They invest this time back into their coaching, their personal growth, and their families.
  • Renewed Passion: Freed from the grind of constant client chasing and administrative overload, coaches rediscover the joy and purpose that drew them to the profession in the first place.

And on my end? Life felt richer than ever.

Starting The Rainmakers wasn’t just a business decision; it was a personal mission. I wanted to build something that aligned with my values—a venture that allowed me to excel professionally without sacrificing my roles as a husband and father. Over the last 11 years, while raising four daughters, my marriage had often taken a backseat to business demands. I was determined to change that narrative.

By fostering partnerships based on trust and mutual growth, I’ve been able to create a company that not only thrives but also supports the kind of balanced life I aspire to lead. Seeing our partners achieve similar harmony in their lives is incredibly fulfilling.

We aim to elevate coaches, enabling them to focus on their transformative work while we handle the rest. In doing so, we’re not just generating profits—we’re making a lasting impact on countless lives.

In a world that often glorifies relentless hustle and one-dimensional success, I choose a different path. I believe in excelling across all areas that matter—business, family, personal growth, and love.

And that’s what we help our partners do in The Rainmakers…
